Who is Migdalia Johnson?

Migdalia is a Homeschooling Work-at-Home Mom.

Before she began Homeschooling and her work-at-home journey, she traveled around the world training for a Fortune 500 company.

She also traveled to provide special training for departments merging into other countries.

She won several Leadership awards for a new product development for her company.

She is an Award Winning Professional Bridal Consultant™ and also the owner of a Wedding and Events business.

Migdalia was handpicked to work as a Business Development Advisor for Ann Sieg from 80/20 Marketing, Inc.

She was also handpicked and trained as a Professional Network Marketer by Alicia Bausley and Lisa Hanfileti, founders of Empowered Business Entrepreneurs, LLC and Authors of Secrets to Selling and The Lead Conversion Kit.

She is mentored by some of the most successful leaders of the Internet Network Marketing industry, Curt Johnson and Wendy Mills. She is also working on several exclusive projects with both of them.

Migdalia is a trainer in The WorksTeam, founded by Curt Johnson. She is also a Core Team Leader and State Director for WoW Mobile Team, developed by Curt Johnson.

Curt is a recognized coach, mentor and award winning trainer in the industry. Oh, and did I mention he was Ann Sieg's and Alicia Bausley's coach and mentor?

Wendy is the developer, site owner and lead trainer of The WorksTeam, business training site. She is also an award winner in the industry and business trainer.

Migdalia enjoys meeting and speaking with people from different backgrounds, which is why she enjoyed working as a Manager in the Hotel and Hospitality Industry.

One of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences she had was working as a Supervisor for a team who oversaw a group of Mentally Challenged Adults. She enjoyed teaching and learning with them. Despite their respective challenges, they were highly skilled, interesting and very intelligent people.

She has been blessed with the patience to train, listen, understand and help people. Sharing her talents and abilities God gave her is one of the reasons she wants to continue on her journey of helping others achieve their goals.

Greatest Joy in Life!

Migdalia’s greatest joy in life is being a Mom to her daughter and having a wonderful, supportive and loving husband.

She has been married to her lovely husband for 20 years. How? Perhaps she is still married because her husband is patient, a good listener, and a non judgmental person who supports her in her endeavors, regardless of what they are.

When she is not homeschooling or working, she is spending time with her family, and of course, her puppy – Snow, a lovely two year old Bishon Frise who has become part of her family.

Why Homeschool?

Many people ask Migdalia, why does she homeschool her daughter. Her short answer (besides the obvious of wanting to have her daughter with her all the time) is simple; she wants to have control over what her daughter learns and does not learn.

She wants to make sure her daughter is prepared for the real world and to be able to choose who she socializes with.

While many people agree with the Homeschooling advantages, others simply do not. Many make the following statement: “I could never homeschool, work from home and have time for my family. How does she do it?”

The answer is simple. She has a daily routine – sometimes it works well, and sometimes it doesn’t, the daily challenges of life get in the way. The key is balance.

Wise Guy!

Many people also ask her how does she homeschool, have a business, and take care of her family needs. She gets the question so many times, she now answers with a big smile. “I have a daily routine – except in order to accomplish everything I do, I must utilize my time wisely (emphasizing the words time and wisely)”. One lady called her a “wise guy” for the answer she gave her.

Is she a wise guy? Sure, she would like to consider herself wise, but not in a sarcastic way. Her answer was as honest as it gets. She was not trying to offend the lady; she was trying to make a point. “Stop making excuses about time – when you utilize it wisely the sky is the limit!”

Her Routine?

Migdalia has been asked many times about her routine, so here is a synopsis – She makes sure she rises early, spends time meditating and saying her daily prayers, and then works for a couple of hours before she wakes up her daughter.

From there on, the day works itself out. She makes the best of her day by working while she homeschools her daughter. She gives her daughter the assignment, makes sure she understands it, and she sits on her desk next to Migdalia’s while she accomplishes her daily work.

After her daughter completes her assignments for the day, her daughter takes over and gets to play teacher. Of course Migdalia plays the “not so knowledgeable” student. This allows her to make an assessment of how much her daughter learned and what she still needs to focus on in the upcoming assignments.

Migdalia emphasizes that when her daughter plays teacher, it allows her daughter to develop leadership skills as well as public speaking skills.

So when your children want to play teacher, see it as an opportunity for them to learn different skills – go along with it and ask many questions, it also develops confidence.

She always tells her customers that having an online home-based business while homeschooling and taking care of your family is not easy, but it’s possible.

It requires learning some skills and developing the right mindset. It requires discipline from you and understanding from your family.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!

So when people say to Migdalia, “I could never homeschool, work from home and have time for my family”, all she hears is an excuse not to do it. If Migdalia can do it, anyone can do it.

Oh sure, making excuses and complaining about what you don’t have is easier than doing the work. People become so accustomed to saying, “I don’t have time”, that eventually they believe it.

The truth is you have time to do the things you want to do, you just need to have the right mindset and stop wasting time making excuses for not wanting to work hard to achieve your goals.

Migdalia's Message!

As humans we tend to concentrate and dwell on what is missing in our lives, but very rarely we stop and think about the things we have and how we can use them to our advantage.

You need to understand that everything you need to succeed is closer than what you think…

...everything you need to succeed is already inside you.
